About the Park

The John Bayus Park was founded by the Bayus Family on 100 acres the family had tilled.
It is still owned and operated by members of the Bayus Family.

John Bayus Park will be celebrating  50 years a community in 2024. Although the Park first started in the camping business, our main business is year round residential living. There are also seasonal sites available. The seasonal season runs from May 1st until October 31st.

We do have, from time to time,  mobile/modular homes that come up for sale by their owners usually through a realtor. To see what is available, one would have to drive through the Park and take note of the various realtors in charge of the sites.  These are private sales but prospective buyers must make application at our office to be processed, and approved before the deal can be finalized.

John Bayus Park is a legal Year Round Park  in the City of Hamilton, but our postal address is Cambridge.

We also offer the opportunity to buy and design your own modular home, made in Canada by Northlander, sold through Pike Lake. To have a tour of a new model home, when available, or a tour of the Park to see available sites, call 519-622-7555.  Please leave a message.  We aren’t always by the phone, as we are out working around the Park. But we value your calls so we will get back to you within 24 hours.

Rent and taxes are collected by the Park. Propane, electricity, telephone etc. are collected by  the appropriate companies. Rent is governed by the T.P.A.

Water quality is monitored daily and water samples are submitted every two weeks to the lab for testing as required by law.

Residents are responsible for the care and up-keep of their sites and units.

Dogs  are allowed but they must be kept on a leash when out walking. Cleaning up after your pet is a must!

The park boasts a quiet, relaxed, clean, safe, beautiful environment. We have high standards to ensure the enjoyment for all. We certainly don’t like speeders.

In the middle of the park is a small spring-fed lake with a sandy beach for swimming in the summer and skating in the winter. A young childrens’ playground is close to the beach.
